Das Keyboards have a reputation for making great quality keyboards that seem to last a lifetime. The Das Keyboard 4 Professional for Mac is a high quality mechanical keyboard with a solid set of features for general or office use that has been especially designed for the Mac. It is available with either the Cherry MX Brown or Blue switches. It is a shame that Das Keyboards do not include a backlight, something that is common across most of their keyboards.

The Das Keyboard 4 Professional for Mac is one of the most 'sensible' mechanical keyboards you can buy for the Mac. It does the basics very very well. It is only available in full size and whilst Das Keyboard does offer a smaller Tenkeyless (TKL) keyboard, I did not find it to be as solid as the root edition. Das Keyboards treat Windows and Mac users equally and this Mac model includes Mac keycaps and full macOS support. The included 2 port USB 3.0 hub is handy for quickly accessing USB thumb drives. The lack of backlight is disappointing and whilst most Mac users would not need RGB lighting, simple white backlighting is handy in dimly lit or dark environments.

The Das Keyboard 4 Professional for Mac, as with most other Das Keyboards feels very solid and should last you a long time and includes a solid and reassuring aluminium top plate.

This model has been specifically developed to support the Mac and includes Mac keycaps and full macOS support.
