The Cherry MX Speed Silver is very similar to the Cherry MX Red with a 45g activation force, but with less travel and activation to improve response times. For general use I prefer the Cherry MX Red; however, if gaming is the main use of the keyboard, the speed switches may offer a slight advantage.
