Sceptre
Sceptre make a large number of monitors, including over 10 22 inch monitors. Many are very similar, but we found that the Sceptre E225W-19203S is the best overall. It features a high quality IPS panel, a 75 Hz refresh rate, 3000:1 contrast ratio, and a relatively bright 250 nits display.
You should also consider the Sceptre E225W-19203RS or Sceptre E225W-1920RS. Whilst they both feature a slightly lower quality VA panel display, they still offer above average display performance at a great price point.
Acer
Acer, like Sceptre make a large number of monitors, including over 10 22 inch monitors. We found the Acer VG220Q bmiix to be one of the best overall 22 inch monitors. It features a high quality IPS panel, a 75 Hz refresh rate, and a relatively bright 250 nits display. It is slightly let down by a lower 1000:1 contrast ratio.
Also should also consider the Acer EK220Q abi, Acer R221Q bbix or Acer QG221Q bii.
Choosing a 22 Inch Monitor
One thing you will not find with 22 inch monitors is an impressive list of features, such as high display resolutions, fast refresh rates, curved screens or HDR support. However, what you will find is that 22 inch (and also many 24 inch) monitors offer great value for money and are a low-cost option to help increase your available screen size. This is especially important when working or studying from home using smaller 13 or 14 inch laptops.
